On Saturday, the newly-formed Conservative group known as CAUTION (”Common Americans United To Inspire OUR Nation”) made their public debut at the Charlotte Independence Day Tea Party.

The group held a raffle for the kind folks who donated a few dollars to support our cause. A $2 donation earned a raffle ticket, while a $5 donation earned three tickets. In keeping with CAUTION’s mission to help ordinary Americans gain a solid understanding and appreciation for our national history, the group raffled off a handful of books. The donations were used to help cover expenses incurred by printing “The Official Tea Party Menu” and the “CAUTION U.S. History Quiz.” Copies of both handouts are available upon request. Please contact Corey Thompson (corey@thirstyquill.com) if you’d like to have a copy of these educational handouts.

The winners of the raffle are as follows…

Drawing #1: “The American Patriot’s Almanac” by William J. Bennett

R. Maphis of Denver, NC

Drawing #2: “The Declaration of Independence and Constitution,” “The Federalist Papers,” and Glenn Beck’s new release, “Common Sense”

Ron Wilson of Concord, NC

Congratulations to our winners! We would like to say a special “THANK YOU” to everyone who stopped by our booth, and especially to those who donated the necessary contributions that funded our projects for the day. We could not have done it without your help!
