You forgot about C-Span
Over the last eight years they have portrayed the entire Bush administration as incompetent, irresponsible, arrogant, and deplorable. I can’t believe how bad they treated Rumsfeld and Gonzales. Hey Pinkos, did you ever hear of editing. Live footage:Hah! whose running that left wing think tank, Moveon.org?

Does anyone else kind of get the feeling that all the corporate news agencies are cut from the same cloth and that if we really break down these stories, less the tragic, and sad, that it really is much a due about nothing? I mean when did we become so transfixed with these peoples opinion? Cue the Jaws music and hit the warning siren graphics, then cut to Katie live on site.

You know what I long for? I long for a country where people worked until dark hit the showers and ate dinner. You know; a place where you could play a nice board game with your family before reading your kids a bedtime story and hittin the hay to discover the same day tomorrow. Instead who have we become? Talk radio into work, 15 minutes of panic on our break, if we are lucky at lunch they'll have the tube turned up incase the terror alert raises to orange, talk radio on the way home into Prime Time Panic and Distrust. I guess my point is, you have pointed out several conservative outlets, you have discredited the effectiveness on liberal media, and you have painted a picture like these entertainers are just days away from becoming martyrs under this sinister new regime. All fair enough, but I just long for the days when we could have multiple sides to an issue and not have to strive to have (only) one way or the other. I think that is what America is all about but that might be just a little too liberal for some.

I agree with most of this article. I have a very hard time watching most major news stations, even though I tend to lean to the "left".

However, I must disagree with you Corey. Websites like the Drudge Report are the most balanced, in my opinion; not leaning toward either side. Though the webmaster created headlines in DR sometimes represent a particular bias, I find it to be the best source for non-biased articles on the web. I love that site and use it everyday.

If I do listen to the radio, I find that most of the panel talks on NPR do a great job representing both sides of arguements with both parties represented equally. I never understand what people talk about when they say NPR is "leftist". For Pete's sake they have a program called "All Things Considered" among many other things. There is one program on Sunday mornings called "Wait Wait, Don't Tell me" that is a panel of comedians reviewing the weeks news, but they take jabs at anything funny or out of the ordinary.

I find NPR to be much easier to listen to than WBT as WBT tends to be flooded with angry hosts, callers, and a "victim's viewpoint". WBT has become a "Last Refuge" for displaced conservatives, in my humble opinion. Not saying that is a bad thing, but there is always a tone of retaliation going on at that station that makes for uneasy listening for me.

Good stuff Quill... This is a timely post as we have recently seen a push from the Left for this "Fairness Doctrine". Bill Clinton stated: "Well, you either ought to have the Fairness Doctrine or we ought to have more balance on the other side, because essentially there's always been a lot of big money to support the right wing talk shows and let face it, you know, Rush Limbaugh is fairly entertaining even when he is saying things that I think are ridiculous...."

Apparently Bill never watches TV. What about Keith Olberman and the rest of the MSNBC stooges, CNN, the ABC, NBC, CBS? It's Fox News against the rest of the TV news world. When Bubba starts a crusade to get a little fairness on the tube I'll give him his due..... Like that will ever happen.

As for radio, stations run programming that pays the bills... Who sells ad slots and who pulls listeners is who gets the slots. The "fairness doctrine" does nothing but eliminate the free market. There is a reason Air America went belly up, no one listened!!! I promise that if there is a void that needs to be filled, station owners would do so because it would mean $$$$.

Be happy you have the TV market virtually cornered, leave the radio to us.
