It will indeed take something new. New ways to look at GDP, new ways to look at our laws, our vast agricultural abilities, new ways across the board. I love the forest reference and I sense that it is neither welcome or comfortable for the deer during those violent blazes. Get ready to run folks, America is changing. For the better, for the worse? Good post Charlie! My father's entire division got hit by layoffs some time back. They axed the group that was in charge of marketing for Unilever Ice Cream (Bryers, Good Humor, Klondike, etc). We were fortunate enough that my father had a contact in another company, but the damage was already done to his esteem. I cannot even pretend to empathize with those people who sit on the unemployment list for long periods of time. For those that cannot find work, you have my deepest sympathies, but also my admiration. Keep persevering and when our great country rises out of this hole, it will be on your collective backs.
