(I’m stuck at a McDonald’s waiting on a replacement van from XXXXXXXXX)…
By The Numbers: Inauguration 2009
1- flat tire in first 15 minutes of departure from school
3- stops in the first 30 minutes of the trip
6- rented vans making this journey
8- hour ride ahead of me, not including however many stops we end up making
14- amount of checkpoints between Union Station and The Mall on Tuesday morning
46- Wingate University students going to DC (3 of them get car sick…and all 3 are riding in my van)
410- miles from Wingate University to Washington, DC
5,000- number of Port-a-Poties in DC this week
4,000,000-5,000,000- estimated number of people going to be present in DC this weekend
$150,000,000- cost of this Inauguration
